HEAVYWEIGHT - BOWIE TUPOU VIDEO INTERVIEW!

October 14, 2006 by Tim Moylan -Bowie Tupou 7-0 (5 KO's), Johnny Lewis's new HeavyWeight prospect, has caught the attention of all fans of the national scene recording seven straight victory's within seven months of his debut.

Bowie's shown the potential to go far in the sport with five of his seven wins all coming by way of first round knock-out. He's also caught the admiration of many experts on the national scene, some predicting him to be the our nation's first to hold a world title in the HeavyWeight division.

Day's before Bowie's rematch with Brian Fitzgerald; TBNA's Al Akkawy caught up with our new HeavyWeight sensation who kindly gave time for us to interview for his fan's who'll have great joy in following the progress of his promising career. Interview questions were written on behalf of TBNA boxing fans by our man in the know when it comes to boxing, Tim Moylan, and video editing by TBNA’s Ty Cerminara.

NADER HAMDANS DINNER FOR COLLEAGUES & FRIENDS!

September 20, 2006 by AL Akkawy - Another great dinner night was organised by Nader Hamdan at the CASTEL MOLA RISTORANTE & PIZZERIA (Leichhardt NSW PH: 02 9569 8814) on the 5th September 2006 gave me the opportunity to take some photos of boxers and friend’s in a relaxed social environment. All were in good spirit and whilst not too many questions were asked in a formal manner it was interesting to hear some of the boxers talk about their upcoming or past events. Boxers and trainers present on the night were: Nader Hamdan; Gairy St Clair; Danny green; Hussy Hussein; Skinny Hussein; Sakio Bika; Billy Hussein; Johnny Lewis; Mick Akkawy. I took some photos for viewers and fans to enjoy and on behalf of Nader Hamdan and all that attended; I would like to thank all the staff at the Castel Mola for the great food and service that made the night a success.

INTERVIEW WITH PAUL BRIGGS #1 WBC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT

September 15, 2006 by AL Akkawy - Paul "HURRICANE" Briggs is looking forward to the opportunity of conquering the world and bringing home the WBC Light Heavyweight belt when he meets Poland’s Tomasz Adamek in a rematch for the title, to be held in Chicago on the 7th of October 2006. The last time Briggs and Adamek met was also in Chicago on the 21st May 2005 where Briggs cut Adamek in the early rounds of the WBC Light Heavyweight bout and although he out-powered him and even managed to stun the Pole with a straight right in the eighth round, he was unable to finish him off. Although Briggs had continually hurt Adamek in that fight the Polish fighter had done enough to secure the judges decision on points.

With the support of his sponsors and Johnny Lewis, Australia’s most successful coach when it comes to producing world champions, Briggs is extremely focused on bringing the world title belt home. Friday 1st September 2006, Al Akkawy from TBNA managed to secure a video interview with this Aussie champ. See for yourself just how focused Paul Briggs is, by viewing this video interview.

September 15, 2006 by Ty Cerminara -Welcome back to BNA fight fans, we apologies for the lack of updates on the site, most of the team has had real life commitments that have prevented the usual flow of news that would normally be published on the site, myself included, our last publication was on August 27th 2005. 2005 is now archived and we are happy to begin 2006 with some fresh interviews that will be published on the site shortly.
